Finally the installation begins. This can take a while. Components being installed, in no particular order:.
Eventually all components finished successfully and the ensuing window showed a summary and a log file location. The Microsoft Sql Server 2008 folder is quite large, and a Visual Studio 2008 and Windows PowerShell 1.0 folder are also installed. Note this is not the full on development version of Visual Studio, but it is offered in a different context, as more of an accessory:
